The Fund hosts a number of special events each year to recognize outstanding leadership and voluntary efforts in the work of improving New York’s health care. Each provides opportunities to support the Fund’s own work, while celebrating the dedication and important role of health care and community leaders and volunteers.
Bringing together health care, business, and community leaders, the Fund's annual Gala honors extraordinary contributions to hospitals and health care in New York.
The 2013 Gala, to be held Monday, October 7, will honor Peter W. May with the Health Care Leadership Award, Tracy Reese with the Distinguished Community Service Award, and Jim Tallon with a 20th Anniversary Tribute.
The 2012 Gala was held Monday, October 1, and honored Karen Davis with the Health Care Leadership Award, Elizabeth J. McCormack with the Distinguished Community Service Award, and Josh N. Kuriloff with a Special Tribute. See photos from the 2012 Gala.
Tribute to Hospital Trustees
With the annual presentation of its Distinguished Trustee Award, the Fund salutes the exemplary service and dedication of the volunteer leaders who govern the Fund’s beneficiary not-for-profit hospitals, New York’s municipal hospital system, and hospitals participating in the United Hospital Fund/Greater New York Hospital Association quality improvement collaboratives.
Hospital Auxilian and Volunteer Achievement Awards
This annual event honors individuals selected for their outstanding service as volunteers and auxiliary members, as nominated by the Fund's beneficiary, not-for-profit hospitals and the hospitals of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation.
