Special Events
The Fund hosts a number of special events each year to recognize outstanding leadership and voluntary efforts in the work of improving New York’s health care. Each provides opportunities to support the Fund’s own work, while celebrating the dedication and important role of health care and community leaders and volunteers.
Gala
Bringing together health care, business, and community leaders, the Fund's annual Gala honors extraordinary contributions to hospitals and health care in New York.
The 2011 Gala was held Tuesday, October 11 and honored Frank A. Bennack, Jr., with the Health Care Leadership Award, Edgar Mandeville, MD, with the Distinguished Community Service Award, and Richard Ravitch with a Special Tribute.
