This issue highlights the first-year achievements of our STOP Sepsis Collaborative. Our guest column features a commentary by the chair of our Perinatal Safety Collaborative, underscoring the importance of hospital senior leadership in effecting culture change. This issue highlights the launch of the STOP Sepsis Collaborative, an initiative co-led by the Fund and GNYHA that tackles one of the leading causes of death at every hospital in our region. The newsletter’s CEO column features one hospital’s perspective on participating in multiple quality improvement collaboratives. Other articles note the importance of physician experts to collaborative work and discuss how the Perinatal Safety Collaborative addresses challenges raised in a new report on maternal mortality.
