The Fund has allocated these funds to support a mix of grants to providers and research organizations, and contracts with a range of technical experts, as part of Inventing the Wheel, a United Hospital Fund initiative launched in 2005 to develop, test, and disseminate sustainable programs that enable health care providers to reappraise how they work with family caregivers and to adopt responsive policies and procedures.
