Fostering collaboration on and understanding of current health care research in New York, the Symposium will begin with a keynote address by Karen Davis, PhD, president of The Commonwealth Fund, titled “National Health Reform: Where Do We Go from Here?” Following the keynote address, sessions and roundtables will address health information technology, substance abuse as a chronic health problem, hospital quality improvement collaboratives, and qualitative research methods. An accompanying poster session will cover a wide variety of topics, including access to services, the effectiveness of chronic disease management, and promoting the use of evidence-based medicine.
